Why these checks: what owners reported

NHTSA complaints for the 2026 Nissan Rogue, grouped by the part owners named. Open a row to read what goes wrong.

  • Wipers and visibility3No crashes

Glass breaks without any impact. Most reports describe the rear window shattering or blowing out while the car sits parked, sometimes with a loud pop when a door is shut and glass falling into the cargo area. A separate report describes a windshield crack that starts on its own and spreads toward the driver side. Problems appear within weeks of purchase rather than at a set mileage. A dealer found no active recall covering the rear glass. Sudden breakage leaves loose glass in the cabin, and a spreading windshield crack can cut into the driver's view.

Recall repairs are free at any Nissan dealer, but the seller may never have had them done. Check each campaign number against the VIN.

  1. 25V912000Wheels and tiresDec 2025

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2026 Rogue vehicles. The incorrect-size spare tire may have been installed, which does not match the tire size and inflation pressure information on the tire placard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims.".

Risk: Incorrect spare tire pressure information on the placard may lead to incorrect inflation of the spare tire, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the spare tire assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 13, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's number for this recall is PD180. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on January 6, 2026.
