Which Armada is it?

EPA figures for each version of the 2024 Nissan Armada. Use them to confirm you are looking at the version that was advertised, and as a yardstick on the test drive.

VersionDriveEPA rating
5.6L 8-cyl4WD, RWD15–16 mpg
  • Reset the trip computer at the start of the drive. A Armada that averages well under the EPA 15 mpg combined on a mixed route may have an engine or tire problem.

Why these checks: what owners reported

NHTSA complaints for the 2024 Nissan Armada, grouped by the part owners named. Open a row to read what goes wrong.

  • Electrical2No crashes

The infotainment screen sometimes stays blank after the engine starts. When it does, the backup camera, navigation, Bluetooth, music and vehicle settings all disappear with it. The fault comes and goes from one start to the next. Losing the backup camera cuts rear visibility when reversing, which raises the risk of a low-speed collision. Replacing the radio has not stopped the problem, and dealer service points to a coming software update as the expected fix. The complaints do not show a mileage pattern.

Recalls to confirm (1)

Recall repairs are free at any Nissan dealer, but the seller may never have had them done. Check each campaign number against the VIN.

  1. 26V455000EquipmentJul 2026

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Nissan Armada, 2011-2013 Infiniti QX56, and 2014-2027 QX80 vehicles equipped with 22" wheels. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims.".

Risk: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will install new labels, free of charge. Additionally, Nissan will mail replacement labels to owners. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 4, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R26B1 and R26B2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on July 16, 2026.
