Why these checks: what owners reported

NHTSA complaints for the 2024 Genesis GV70, grouped by the part owners named. Open a row to read what goes wrong.

  • Transmission6No crashes

Acceleration cuts out without warning, often while merging onto a highway. Some cars stop pulling around 40 mph while the engine revs near 5,000 RPM, with no warning light. Others show a power-supply warning and drop into a mode capped at 20 mph. In one of those cars the dealer found a failed ICCU and fuse. Drivers describe near rear-end collisions with trucks. Other reports describe shaking at highway speed that repeated dealer visits did not fix, and a shifter that slipped from drive to neutral while moving. Repairs often keep cars at the dealer for long stretches.
