Why these checks: what owners reported

NHTSA complaints for the 2023 Nissan Murano, grouped by the part owners named. Open a row to read what goes wrong.

  • Brakes22 crashes

During hard, sudden stops, the brake pedal sinks to the floor and the car does not stop in time. Both complaints on file are crash-related. One ends in a rear-end collision at low speed, and the other in a deer strike at highway speed. One report says the ABS never engages during the stop. The same driver noticed a small oil puddle near the front passenger side shortly before the failure. Neither filing gives a mileage or describes a diagnosis or repair.
