Which Integra is it?

EPA figures for each version of the 2024 Acura Integra. Use them to confirm you are looking at the version that was advertised, and as a yardstick on the test drive.

VersionDriveEPA rating
1.5L 4-cylFWD33 mpg
2.0L 4-cylFWD24 mpg
  • The 2024 Acura Integra was sold in two versions. Confirm which one this is from the window sticker, the engine cover, or the VIN report before you compare prices.
  • Reset the trip computer at the start of the drive. A Integra that averages well under the EPA 24 mpg combined on a mixed route may have an engine or tire problem.

Owners report these failures starting around the mileages below. A car inside one of these ranges deserves a closer look at that part, or records showing it was already fixed.

Why these checks: what owners reported

NHTSA complaints for the 2024 Acura Integra, grouped by the part owners named. Open a row to read what goes wrong.

  • Steering51No crashes

The wheel sticks or catches, mostly at highway speeds. It resists small corrections, hangs near center, or won't return smoothly after a long curve, then breaks free all at once. That extra effort leads to overcorrection, and drivers describe swerving or zigzagging within the lane, a real loss-of-control risk. Most reports start between about 2,800 and 5,700 miles, though one starts near 10,000. The problem comes and goes, with lane keeping assist on or off and in every drive mode. One report adds shaking above 45 mph and a steering warning message.

  • Automatic emergency braking2No crashes

Emergency braking activates when nothing is in the way, and adaptive cruise control is on in both reports. In one, overhead highway signs register as a vehicle ahead and trigger a collision response. In the other, the collision warning comes on and the brakes apply on a straight road while passing in the left lane, with a tailgating car behind. Unexpected braking at highway speed raises the risk of being hit from behind.

In owners' own words

Excerpts from complaints Integra owners filed with NHTSA, as written. Listen for the same symptoms on your test drive.

Steering
Sticky steering wheel occurs while driving on the highway, requiring a momentary increase in steering effort to unstick the wheel. Began yesterday 11/30/2023 at around 5,200 miles. Same exact symptoms that are described in Investigation EA23003 for the Honda Civic, Honda CRV, and 2023MY Acura Integra. I have an appointment scheduled with my Acura dealer service department for 12/5/2023 to look at the problem.

Filed with NHTSA, December 2023

Steering
My car only has 3725 miles. In some occasions, after a while of driving at highway speeds, steering requires a noticeable increase in the amount of force needed to turn the wheel for small corrections or turning. It feels like the wheel is stuck. After turning the wheel a couple of times, like when you take an exit to get off the highway, the steering wheel starts behaving normally and smoothness returns.

Filed with NHTSA, March 2024

Automatic emergency braking
I was driving in the left lane of a divided highway, using the adaptive cruise control while passing another vehicle in the right lane. The collision warning light came on, and the brakes were automatically applied. The road was straight, and the car I was passing was the only car ahead of me. I believe I was almost hit by the car tailgating me at the time.

Filed with NHTSA, July 2025

Automatic emergency braking
Approaching overhead signs with ACC engaged activates the emergency breaking. The digital cluster indicates the presence of a vehicle directly ahead and responds to avoid a possible collision.
